If you’re still in the mood and your teeth haven’t fallen out from the sugar rush, then why not check out another slot machine developed by Games Global partner Slingshot Studios? Spin Spin Sugar is the name of the game, and it incorporates a wide variety of gameplay elements and techniques developed by different members of the Games Global family of studios. Unsurprisingly, the game has a Link&Win component, since this has become one of Slingshot Studios’ most popular extras as of late. The game also includes a bonus symbol reward ladder reminiscent of 9 Masks of Fire (with a twist), free spins with a line win multiplier, and optional Upsizer feature boosts.
Slingshot Studios’ sugary-filled game features a classic look for its upper layer, which is quite the pick ‘n mix of gaming gadgets. All the pastel pinks and purples, a peppy music, candy-covered hills, and a general attitude of “why not indulge a bit every now and then (sensibly)?” are all part of the plan. In other words, this is a traditional sweet slot that will appeal to the tastes of gamblers that enjoy this genre.
The statistics in Spin Spin Sugar are as carefully crafted as the game’s graphics, so they are not likely to shock anyone who is familiar with other candy-themed slot machines. The maximum return-to-player (RTP) value is 96.26%, while three lesser levels are accessible; also, the underlying mathematics model is extremely unstable. Spin Spin Sugar, accessible on any platform, with wagers ranging from 20 p/c to £/€50 each paid spin, with a top RTP configuration model awarding winnings at a rate of 38.83 percent.
The game board consists of 5 reels and 4 rows, and there are 40 fixed paylines available for players to hit. Lines with three to five of a kind are winners, and they must begin on the leftmost side of the board. The exception to this rule is the high-paying single, double, or triple sevens, which will pay out regardless of the number of sevens in a winning combination. Following these two higher-paying candies are four lower-paying candies. A victory with 5 OAK pays cheap (1.75 times the wager) whereas a win with 7s pays high (2 times to 15 times the wager). The wild symbol has the highest payout, at 60 times the wager for a line of five, and may also replace any regular pay sign.
Slot Machines That Spin Like Sugarcane
When dissected, Spin Spin Sugar doesn’t really provide anything new. When you put the pieces together and sweeten the deal, the game takes on a more distinct character. You’ll find the Upsizer, the Free Spins Randomizer, and the Link&Win Ladder here.
Ladder of Linking Victory
When at least three bonus symbols appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, it activates this feature in the main game or during free spins. When this occurs, the bonus symbols that triggered the respin are locked in place, and the center three reels are given three further spins. If more bonus symbols appear, they will remain in place and reset the number of re-spins to three. As soon as the re-rolling timer runs out or the grid is completely full, a winner is determined. If 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 bonus symbols appear, your payout will be 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 1,000, or 5,000 times your initial wager.
Bonus Turns
Free games can be triggered by getting three scatter symbols anywhere on reels 2-4 (each of which pays out 1x the wager). The Free Spins Randomizer then spins to provide between 8 and 15 free spins with a multiplier of 2x-5x and a density of 1 to 4 bonus levels. However, before the free spins begin, players have the option of increasing their value with the Upsizer function. The upgrade costs for the free spins, multiplier, and Bonus level density are all listed on the screen. The Link&Win Ladder feature may be activated during free spins, and the feature can be retriggered during free spins. The multiplier is just for line victories, so keep that in mind.
Sugar, Sugar, Slot Machine Review
Spin Spin Sugar was a game that may have been a clone, or it could have merely seemed like one because so many of its gameplay elements have been seen before in other games. Features-wise, it’s extremely similar to Jade Shuriken, a game released by Slingshot Studios roughly six months before Spin Spin Sugar. But there have been many shifts since then. Intriguingly, despite sharing some similarities with Jade Shuriken, an action-packed slot about battling warriors, Spin Spin Sugar is far more volatile than Jade Shuriken was and carries double the potential.
But artistically, Jade Shuriken stood out from the crowd because to its slick, animated cartoon-style visuals and fresher take on the genre as a whole. In contrast, Spin Spin Sugar is… how can we say it? Commonplace? Slot machines themed on sweets aren’t hard to come by, and Spin Spin Sugar doesn’t offer much to set itself apart.
It doesn’t accomplish anything particularly good or bad, but it does include a well-liked feature (the bonus symbol/cash prize ladder) into its free spins round. When you throw in the free spins line multiplier, the changeable density of bonus symbols, and the Link&Win twist on the cash reward ladder element, you can see why this game would appeal to players with a penchant for gambling’s sweeter side. If you’re in the mood for some sweets and are willing to lower your expectations for innovation, Spin Spin Sugar may be for you.
